I love the looks of the wood grains in the baffles.
Please share your listening impressions. I'm personally not into OB type speakers. Perhaps I'll build one of these as a matter of curiosity one of these days......
The vocals and high's are outstanding...and the bass is adequate not that punchy but more like natural timber. This needs comparatively larger room area and the placement has prime importance.
Overall this was a superb experience dealing with OB speaker build.

But I must point out that if you mount the drivers by their magnets onto a heavy "spine" and then mount the baffles as "floating baffles", with a soft sealing between the basket edges and the cutout edges, you will be astounded by the lack of coloration of the resultant sound. Believe me, I had tried that a few years back.
Concrete or granite pieces silicon-ed together are good for the heavy spine, onto which the drivers can be mounted with the help of split wooden "collars", tightened by clamps and long bolts. Try it, please....

Sounds interesting!
That was something informative and something which needs to be tried out. Thanks for your valuable feedback.
BTW you have tried this for which OB project?
Thanks,
Bijin
Thanks,

My experience is the same, the highs and mids sound real. The bass is not punchy, just right. If there are lows in the music, it comes out clearly.
Another great work!!!!!!
Looks Awesome
Yes you are right the placement may help you getting your bass

First post here. The OB looks awesome. What's the source of the frame?
Is there any plan to sell the TB's on DAC store?
Best Regards,
Bhaskar
The TB W8-1808 will be available in the store very soon, but this driver is an expensive driver and will be available in very limited quantity.
Thanks,
Bijin
That's a great news, will definitely wait for a pair.
