Features fully annealed refined copper wire with baked enamel insulation, wrapped around a laminated iron core. All Dayton Audio iron core inductors are constructed on a 1-1/4″ square x 1-3/4″ long plastic bobbin around a 1/2″ x 3″ laminated iron core.

Copper quality/purity:
The copper used in all Dayton Audio inductors, both wire and foil based, is a minimum of 99.9% pure, providing 100% conductivity. The oxygen component of the copper is between 0.02% and 0.04%.
