Wavecor WF120BD03 4-3/4″ Balanced Drive Paper Cone Mid-Woofer 4 Ohm
Quick Overview:
The Wavecor WF120BD03 is a 4-3/4″ truncated frame paper cone midwoofer that is designed for demanding bass and midrange applications. This driver utilizes balanced drive technology for reduced distortion. It works equally well for high-end hi-fi, high quality home theater systems, and multimedia projects. The WF120BD03 is an ideal choice for a compact 2-way speaker design as a midwoofer.
Product Highlights:
- Balanced Drive motor structure for optimal drive force symmetry resulting in largely reduced even order harmonic distortion
- Copper cap on center pole to reduce voice coil inductance and to minimize variations in voice coil inductance as a function of voice coil position
- Black coated semi-air-dried paper cone
- Rigid die cast alu chassis with extensive venting for lower air flow speed reducing audible distortion
- Large motor for better control and power handling
- Vented voice coil former for reduced noise level at large cone excursions
- Heavy-duty black fiber glass voice coil former to reduce mechanical losses resulting in better dynamic performance and low-level details
- Built-in alu field-stabilizing ring for reduced distortion at high levels
- Low-loss suspension (high Qm) for better reproduction of details and dynamics
- Black motor parts for better heat transfer to the surrounding air
- Conex spider for better durability under extreme conditions
- Gold plated terminals to ensure long-
term trouble free connection
Product Description:
Wavecor WF120BD03 is a 4-3/4″ truncated frame paper cone midwoofer that is designed for demanding bass and midrange applications. This driver utilizes balanced drive technology for reduced distortion. It works equally well for high-end hi-fi, high quality home theater systems, and multimedia projects. The WF120BD03 is an ideal choice for a compact 2-way speaker design as a midwoofer.
Powered by a large magnet structure, the WF120BD03 is ensured excellent efficiency and optimal T/S parameters. The large 1″ voice coil allows excellent high-power handling, both thermally and mechanically. The optimized paper cone ensures large bandwidth and low distortion. Distortion is further reduced by the efficient venting and an aluminum shorting ring and copper cap stabilizing the magnetic field in the air gap.
