A fully configurable DSP
The real strength of the PPA800DSP is most likely its customizable integrated DSP. For example, Windows software with a clear and ergonomic interface allows you to adjust levels, filters, equalizers and effects. It is therefore possible to customize the reproduction of this amplifier according to each type of speaker and listening, while offering the possibility of saving profiles.
Adjustable filters
The PPA800DSP allows you to adjust the high-pass and low-pass filters on each output (12 to 48dB/Octave). You can create a seamless transition from your woofer to your tweeter, without the need for passive crossover. In addition, you can also create a subsonic filter to protect the bass drivers or control the tweeters by increasing their response in the high frequencies.
Parametric EQ
For equalization, the PPA800DSP includes 6 bands for each output to adapt the response curve to your needs. In addition, the DSP can store 5 equalizer profiles for quick changes in different situations.
Built-in customizable protection
Professional audio playback systems are designed to operate at full capacity for long periods of time. Under these conditions, it is essential for the equipment to have sufficient protection. Thus, the PPA800DSP includes an adjustable limiter to keep the amplifier output under control. Adjustable delay time
An important but often overlooked point in the sound and sound dispersion of loudspeakers is the alignment of time. The adjustment of the high and low frequency delay (increment in 0.1ms steps) allows you to make sure that the sound from each speaker reaches you at the same time. It is also possible to calibrate this delay between your speakers and your subwoofer, which can be positioned in a different location.
2 way mixer with Bluetooth
The PPA800DSP also offers a 2-channel mixer integrated directly on the module. Each channel can adjust its XLR input level, line or microphone. In addition, the module integrates a Bluetooth receiver, allowing you to broadcast your music from any device equipped with this technology (smartphone, tablet…). The mixer section also includes an XLR line output to transmit the signal to another powered speaker or subwoofer. It is thus possible to choose between sending the mixed signal or only the channel 2 signal. Finally, the mixer section also features 4 status LEDs: Power, Signal, Limiter and Bluetooth.
